The Comunity and Development Lab (Cursul de Dezvoltare Liberă, in Romanian) is an 8 - 9 week intensive event, addressed mainly to the first and second year students of the Politehnica University of Bucharest. The course aims to involve students in existing open source projects with the help of an experienced mentor in the development side of the project.

Upstream Challenge is a competition addressed to all bachelor students in which we encourage them to contribute to Open Source projects with relevant patches. In this way, they will become accustomed and attached to some projects, becoming core contributors there.

WebDev is a practical 11-week web development course. Second and third year students are taught all they need to know, and more, in order to develop their own MiniStackOverflow platform. From the HTTP protocol, to HTML5 and CSS3 magic, to the Ruby programming language, professional mentors are always present to guide them along the way.

RSoC (ROSEdu Summer of Code) is a frame project whose aim is to give students an alternative summer internship program. Students and enthusiasts can be a part of existing or new ROSEdu projects.

As a part of NCIT Summer Schools , the Computer Science department of Politehnica University of Bucharest in collaboration with ROSEdu and Systems Group organizes Open Source Summer School.

OSSS is a two weeks intensive course, consisting of technical talks, presentations, seminars and hackathons. Our main goal is to provide the basic skills and knowledge required to take part in Open Source projects.

The ROSEdu Tech Talks are a series of 45 minutes presentations about open technologies, open software and open standards.

D'Android encourages the development of mobile aplications, emphasising the key features of the Android open-source platform.

Hack Days are a series of events during which students and representatives of various open source projects gather in order to submit patches, fix bugs, implement new features and have fun.

vmchecker is a scalable automatic assignment evaluation framework that can be used for a wide range of courses. It enables automatic evaluation of assignments, leaving the teaching assistent with the sole tasks of going through the code and insist on aspects such as proper indentation, coding style, safe programming practices, modularization, sane variable names, etc.

WoUSO (World of USO) is an educational game targeting first year students of the Introduction in Operating System (or USO, in Romanian) course of the Computer Science Department at the Politehnica University of Bucharest. It is meant to encourage acquiring knowledge in an educational and competitive mode. 

In the tradition of Open Source groups, ROSEdu organises LIFs (Linux Install Fests). One of the first community events that ROSEdu organized was the Ubuntu Install Fest (UIF). We have coordinated three Ubuntu Install Fests following the same recipe used by other Ubuntu Communities.

PyLXR aims to clone the LXR project in Python and using SQLite as its database engine. It strives to offer an easier to configure and modify interface than the original LXR.
